Ormai dal 1996 Manicomics Teatro si dedica, con percorsi diversificati, alla pedagogia teatrale e alla formazione. Dai laboratori di Formazione per Attori professionisti ai Laboratori di Teatro Sociale, dai percorsi di avvicinamento al teatro per adulti a quelli per bambini e adolescenti. Sino alla ormai storica Officina in cui si pratica una attività di ricerca. Nasce nel 2009 lo SPAM festival, una rassegna di spettacoli e dimostrazioni di lavoro frutto dei laboratori teatrali tenuti a Piacenza sotto il nome OFFICINA M.
Lo SPAM festival si svolge durante tutto il mese di giugno, o comunque al termine delle attività. Le serate di spettacolo sono presentate dai percorsi laboratoriali.
Ma cosa è esattamente Officina M? Allegra Spernanzoni e Rolando Tarquini, ideatori dei percorsi ci raccontano: “I percorsi hanno l’obiettivo di fornire gli strumenti adatti alla libera espressione dell’individuo e delle sue capacità interpretative e creative, per far sì che l’arte dell’attore abbia la possibilità di ricrearsi continuamente grazie alla nuova linfa portata in campo da giovani allievi. A tale scopo Officina M si riferisce ad un teatro visivo e visionario, dove il movimento divenga parola e la parola sia cosciente della propria parte nel gioco della comunicazione, dove la voce sia maschera/persona capace di evocare l’indefinibile e lo spazio si ricrei in mondi originali, dove la comicità e la ricerca del proprio clown sostengano il lavoro dell’attore".
